Philip Tillman, Co-Owner / CEO
Philip Tillman is 50% owner of Cornerstone Information Systems and manages all technical aspects of the company. He holds the title of Chief Executive Officer in addition to managing Cornerstone’s technical staff, testing and selecting products and participating personally in the most complex projects and network designs.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1996 with a Biotechnology (Genetic Engineering) degree and was a member of the Lambda Sigma Honor Society. After graduation, he performed Alzheimer’s, HIV, and Parkinson Disease research for two years before transitioning to the computer industry and returning to Hopkinsville, KY.
When Philip began with Cornerstone in 1998, the company had only a handful of networking clients, and he was the only networking employee. Today, Cornerstone lists over 700 active networking customers and over 40 team members. Philip also holds several major industry certifications including the following:

Significant project accomplishments include a $55 million Fiber to the Home project at the Clarksville, TN Department of Electricity which at that time was the largest project of its kind in the United States. Philip also designed and led a project in 2011 to install a high speed network with full redundancy for the U.S. Army at Ft. Sam Houston that consisted of multiple Cisco 4500 series switches, a 64 node Linux high availability cluster, two Windows 2008 server farms, and high capacity Windows network area storage devices.
Philip has demonstrated an outstanding example of service in various community organizations. In earlier years he was an Eagle Scout and was the first winner of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club’s Jerry Claiborne Award. Philip is a Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County graduate. He is currently a Rotary member and has been instrumental in providing the technology necessary to operate its record breaking Annual Rotary Auction. Philip serves on the Alpha Alternative Board and is a Kentucky Ambassador of Goodwill. Philip has also volunteered at Camp Marc (a camp for mentally and physically handicapped adults) since 1990. He currently serves on the Core Staff leadership team for the camp.
Philip met his wife, Beth, at Camp Marc where both were serving as camp counselors. They were married in 1996 and have two sons, Nathan and Jeremy.
